Jamie M. Spaulding began his career in investigations and security as a U.S. Navy Military Police Officer at the age of eighteen. He served on active duty from 2003-2008 and in the Naval Reserve from 2009-2012. Spaulding is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Law Enforcement Academy, the NCIS Interview & Interrogation School, the Navy Weapons of Mass Destruction Course, Blackwater’s Armed Sentry Course, and the NCIS Security First Responder Course. He received extensive training in anti-terrorism and force protection, security operations, intelligence collection, investigation, surveillance, and random anti-terrorism measures, as well as training in the use of the following weapons: M-16, M-4, M-9, M-60, M-14, M-500, and .50 caliber machine gun.
After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Navy in 2008, Spaulding went on to earn a B.S. in Political Science from Towson University, a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Prince George Community College, a Certificate in Security Management from the College of Southern Maryland (CSM), an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from CSM, and a Letter of Recognition in Criminal Justice from CSM. He maintained a high cumulative GPA of 3.60 while completing his studies, ranking on the Dean’s List on multiple occasions, and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Spaulding’s work on the international security threats stemming from the former Soviet Union, entitled “The U.S.-Russia Role in Nuclear Nonproliferation: A Bilateral Approach,” was published in the Fall 2014 issue of the Towson Journal of International Affairs.
He is currently the president & owner of Spaulding Security & Investigations, LLC (SSI), a veteran-owned small business. SSI is a Southern Maryland-based, licensed private detective & security guard agency. Founded in 2014, SSI is a full-service agency specializing in private investigations, surveillance, background investigations, undercover operations, missing persons, and an array of security services.
In 2017, Spaulding was elected as Secretary of the Maryland Investigators & Security Association (MISA).
